Gary Wayne Wright

Gary Wayne Wright, age 65, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at the Whitesburg ARH Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1951 to his parents the late Aster Wright and Lois Youngblood Wright. Gary was the husband of Denisa Lynn Newsome Wright, a coal miner, and a member of Marshalls Branch Worship Center. Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Wright, two brothers, Donnie Jo and Larry Wright, and two sisters, Norma Jean Newsome and Anita Parson. Along with his wife, Gary is survived by one son, DeWayne (Rosemerie) Wright, one daughter in law, Amanda Tackett, two brothers, Chris Wright, Herman "Buddy" Wright, two sisters, Gaye Hall, Diane White, six grandchildren, Erica, Austin, Allison, Abigail, Kaleb, and Kylee, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Allen Culvertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery.
