Nell Ruth Tackett

Nell Ruth Tackett, age 76, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at the Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, Indiana. Nell was born on July 5, 1940 to her parents the late Amos Thompson and Martha Parsons Thompson. She was the wife of the late Edgar Tackett, a homemaker, and a believer of the baptist faith. Along with her husband and parents, Nell was preceded in death by one brother, Paul David Thompson, three sisters, Dorothy Jean Thompson, Mary Joyce Hopson, and Jacqueline Kendrick. Nell is survived by one daughter, Jetta Lynn Hawkins, two sons, Eddie Keith (Kimberly) Tackett, Wesley Aaron Tackett, six brothers, Ernest, Charles, Joe, Johnny, Larry, & Barry Thompson, three sisters, Judy Muncy, Ruby Ann Meade, and Doris (Joan) Niederriter, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Mike Hopson officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
