Mose Adkins, Jr.

Mose Adkins, Jr., age 78, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his residence. Mose was born on September 17, 1938 to his parents the late Mose Adkins and Virgie Thacker Adkins. He was the husband of the late Lois Lee Damron Adkins, a coalminer, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Mildred Ann Adkins, Tiffany Michelle Adams, one brother, Barry Adkins and three half sisters, Juanita Stalker, Kathleen Robinson, and Allene Stanley. Mose is survived by two sons, Curtis Adkins, Mose Ed Adkins, two daughters Hattie Newsome, Sandra Adams. Mose is survived by three brothers Jimmy Jack Adkins, Larry Adkins, Ed Adkins, two sisters Hattie Marie Bolin, Iona Mae Keene. Mose is survived by five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four step grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Services Tuesday and Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. The Funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery with Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating.
