David Lynch

David Ithamar Lynch was of Irish and English descent, born on January 10, 1958. David graduated from Riverview Community High School in 1976, attended Wayne County Community College and Wayne State University. David lived in Atlanta, Georgia, Chicago, Illinois, Boston, Massachusetts, Betsy Layne, Kentucky, and was a resident of Riverview, Michigan at the time of his passing on October 4, 2016. As a professional sound engineer, David worked on Ronnie Earl’s Grammy Award Winning album, as well as many nationally and internationally recognized musicians, most notably John Lee Hooker and Dr. John. Of all of his sound engineering achievements his favorite position was working at Detroit World Outreach Church in Detroit, Michigan for Pastor Jack Wallace. After completing Blackstone’s Law School paralegal certification program, David worked in both Michigan and Kentucky for several prominent attorneys. In the Detroit Metro area, David was a Director of Instruction at Experience Senior Power Maria Madeline Project, Inc. where he taught older adults basic and intermediate computer skills, using an easy step-by-step tutorial which he authored and created. As a below the knee amputee, who decided that that would never be an excuse. He always said that he did more with his life after losing a leg, not bragging, just wanted to be an example for others. He became an ACE certified personal trainer, receiving training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. David was a best-selling author of The Ultimate Wellness Principle: Seven Steps to a Healthy Age Resistant Body After 40!; The Well-being Principle a guide to total Health and Well-being in all areas of your life; and The Weight Loss Mindset Shift. He graduated with Honors from the National Academy for Health & Fitness and was a Doctor of Divinity and Spiritual Counselor. David was a gentle and kindhearted man, who was devoted son, a loving and protective brother, and a loving uncle. He is missed and loved beyond our ability to express with words. David is predeceased in death by his father, David Vaughn Lynch from Betsy Layne, Kentucky. He is survived by his beloved mother, Beatrice Sturgill Lynch from Pikeville, Kentucky, and his sisters, Debra Ann King, and Dinah (Nancy) Lynch, and his niece, Kara (Kyle) Steffen. Visitation will be Monday from 2p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sturgill Cemetery at Harold, Ky.
