Brenda Adkins

Brenda Kay Adkins, age 66, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Brenda was born on July 7, 1950 to her parents the late Virgil Huffman and Thelma Coleman Huffman. She was the wife of Larry Adkins, a retired employee for Community Trust Bank, and a member of the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband, Brenda is survived by one daughter, Trista Danielle (James) Abshire, one brother, Paul Huffman, four sisters, Wanda Sue Damron, Donna Keene, Teresa Huffman, Leshia Keene, four grandchildren, Kayla, Josh, Elijah, and Arabella, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery at Lower Pompey.
