Shirley Yvonne Burke Johnson-Ditty

Shirley Yvonne Burke Johnson Ditty, age 81, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Garden City Hospital, Michigan. Shirley was born on September 19, 1935 to her parents the late Palmer Burke and Flonnie Mullins Burke. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband Benjamin Johnson, and her parents. She preceded in death by one son, Benjamin A. Johnson, Jr., one brother, Tommy Burke, two sisters, Sharon and Kitty. Shirley is survived by her husband Donald E. Ditty and one son, Rhondal Johnson and one daughter, Deborah Kaye Johnson Sobus. Shirley is survived by eight sisters, Teresa, Vanita, Linda, Wanda, Donna, Pamela, Paula, Jeanie and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation be Tuesday at 4:00PM at the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church, with services at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Belcher and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Burke Family Cemetery at Lick Fork, Beefhide, Kentucky.
