Marlene "Causey" Adkins

Marlene "Causey" Adkins, age 71, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. Marlene "Causey" Adkins was born August 24, 1945 to her parents the late Floyd Causey and Lurley Robinson. She was a retired coal miner, a member of the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter,Cindy Lou Adkins, one son,Rodney Arnold Adkins, two brothers,Brendail Causey, Millis "Willis" Causey, four sisters, Ina Mae Yates, Ruth Faye Causey, Maxine Causey, and Patricia Causey. Marlene is survived by her husband Arnold Dempsey Adkins, two sons Jason (Ashton) Adkins, David Justice, four daughters, Valerie (Bo) Keene, Betty (James) Justice, Linda (Joe) Justice, and Patricia (Donald) Akers Marlene is also survived by two sisters, Deloris Gay Thacker, Donna Jean Innis, two brothers, Leon Ray Causey, Roy Lesley Causey, twenty two grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, many foster children and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with church services Sunday and Monday at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins, Dolph Kelly, Junior Cantrell, Jimmy Reed Adkins and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, Ky.
