Mary Coleman

Mary Alice Coleman, age 83, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at her home. Mary was born on Sept. 15, 1934 to her parents the late James R. Holloway and Pricy Ann Chaney Holloway. She was the wife of the late Naamon Coleman, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacqueline Coleman, one son, Samuel Dean Coleman, two grandsons, Kevin and Michael Holland, and two sisters, Ruby Ford and Judy Mullins. Mary is survived by six daughters, Brenda Ison, Marie Springer, Rosemary Carroll, Sherry Hylton, Jettie L. Mullins, Julia Ramsey, three sons, Terry Randall Coleman, James Naamon Coleman, Johnny Williams Coleman, two sisters, Hazel Nichols, Marchetta Adkins, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
