Loretta Parsons

Loretta Lillian Parsons, age 74, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home. Loretta was born on Feb. 12, 1942 to her parents the late Annanius Blair and Princess Slone Blair. She was the wife of the late Randolph Parsons, a homemaker, and a member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Loretta was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Parsons Hamilton, two brothers, Junior Blair and Ray Blair, three sisters, Lillie Mae Kendrick Margaret Kinder, Brenda Hurt, and one grandson, Steven Michael Allen. Loretta is survived by two daughters, Paula Jean (Lonnie Ray) Allen, Randi Lynn Parsons, one son in law Richard Hamilton, three sisters, Annette Ratliff, Linda Branham, Donna Wilson, seven grandchildren, Joshua, Shannon, Shaina, Matthew, Jesse, Cameron, and Emileigh, three great grandchildren, Autumn, Trenton, and Kyleigh, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church with Tracy Patton and Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel.
