Larry Coleman

Larry Coleman, age 63 of Troutman, NC, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his daughter's residence. Larry was born on January 6, 1954 in Pikeville, Kentucky to his parents the late Delbert and Alta Thompson Coleman, Larry was a retired coal miner after 40 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Charles Coleman, Kenneth Coleman, three sisters; Wanda Sue Coleman, Mary Evelyn Sherrill, Mattie Ruth Piltaver. Larry is survived by two children; Jennifer Small, Larry Shannon Coleman and his wife (Tina) both of Troutman, NC. Larry is survived by four sisters; Clarissa Ratliff, Linda England her husband James, Shirley McDonald her husband Keith, Betty Hamby; three brothers, Eugene Coleman his wife (Ruby), Raymond Coleman, Delbert Coleman, Jr. Also survived by six grandchildren; Savannah Gillespie, Christian Small, Larry Tyler Coleman, Christina Coleman, Caden Eckles and Cassie Coleman and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Church service Saturday and Sunday night at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Monday at 12 Noon at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky. Family has requested that help with the funeral expenses be made to the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
