Minnie Chapman

Minnie Mae Anderson Chapman, age 75, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Minnie was born on August 24, 1941 to her parents the late Fred Anderson and Darkes Adkins Anderson. She was the wife of Don Chapman, a retired employee for BB & T Bank, and a member of the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by one brother, Freddy Anderson, two sisters, Myrtle Murt Anderson Adams and Rachael Anderson. Along with her husband, Minnie is survived by one son, Donald (Beverly) Chapman, one daughter, Brenda (Andy) Hunt Jr., one brother, Bobby Andrew Anderson, two sisters, Hattie Hackney, June Bevins, three granddaughters, Amy (Justin) Hughes, Crystal (Gordon) Varney, Donella Mae (Brian) Stanley, four great grandchildren, Brandon and Kobe Hughes, Larah Stanley, Jordon Varney, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Church services will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday March 3, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
