Lawrence Adkins

Lawrence Adkins, age 88 of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, formerly of Pikeville, Ky, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his residence. Lawrence was born on March 2, 1929 to his parents the late Will Adkins and Betty Ramsey Adkins. Lawrence was a retired coalminer. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife Jettie Pearl Adkins and his parents. He was also preceded in death by one brother Jerry Adkins, two sisters Roxie Keene and Jacqueline Keene. Lawrence is survived by one daughter Joyce Johnson (Ronald), three sisters Geraldine Cole, Patricia Riley, and Christine Hopkins. Lawrence is survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Church Service Monday at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Jack Adkins and Jimmy Reed Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
