Donald William Johnson

Donald William Johnson, age 38, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on April 1, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Donald was born on August 15, 1978, to his parents Roger Dale Johnson, Sr. and Brenda S. Johnson. He resided in Keokee, Va. and attended Keokee Elementary and Appalachia Elementary. The family relocated to Elkhorn City, KY and he attended Millard High School and graduated in 1996. He attended Morehead State University and East Tennessee State University majoring in Communications. He resided in Jacksonville, Florida and was a loan officer for Jax Federal Credit Union and of the Baptist Faith. Donald was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Lloyd Guy Johnson and Reva Napier Johnson. Paternal Uncle Donald Lee Johnson, Paternal Aunt Jill Darlene Johnson and his Maternal Grandparents Charlie Summers and Anna Warden Summers, Maternal Uncles Jimmy Summers, Earl Summers, Billy Summers, Glen Summers, and Gary Summers. Maternal Aunts Wanda Summers, Dail Summers and Trudy Summers. Donald is survived by his parents Roger and Brenda Johnson of Pikeville, KY. One brother Roger Dale Johnson, Jr. (Katie), of Kingsport, TN, one sister Keva Burgess of Pikeville, one nephew Roger Dale Johnson III, of Kingsport, TN, three nieces Courtney Burgess of Pikeville, KY, Lily Johnson, and Ella Johnson both of Kingsport, TN and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation for Donald William Johnson will be Wednesday, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Thursday, at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Dave Hammond and Randy Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
