John Scalf

John W. Scalf age 87 passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home. John was born on Nov. 15, 1929 to his parents the late Carl Scalf and Polly James Scalf. He was the husband of Margaret Slone Scalf, a retired service technician for Sears, and a member of the Ford's Branch Church of Christ. John also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by four brothers, Wes, Ernest, Dave and Alex Scalf. Along with his wife, John is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Gary) Little, Denise (Eric) Thomas, two brothers, Lawton Scalf, Elser Eugene (Gene) Scalf, two sisters, Nina Blackburn, Peggy Hite, two step grandchildren, one step great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 5p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Fred Klatka officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
