Mary Dean Belcher

Mary Dean Wells Belcher, age 81, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Mary was born on August 9, 1935 to her parents the late Homer Wells and Sudie Burke Wells Brown. She was the wife of Davis Belcher, a mother, homemaker, and bookkeeper for Belcher Used cars, and also a member of the Dorton Methodist Church. Along with her parents, Mary Dean was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Elizabeth Brown, Della Sue Mullins, and one brother, Donnie Brown. Along with her husband, Mary Dean is survived by two daughters, Ava Belcher Smith (Rick), Rhonda Belcher Rose (Noah), three brothers, Roy Arlin Brown (Lucy), David Brown (Roberta), D. Edward Brown, two sisters, Rachel Morden, Jery Riley (Herman), one sister in law, Mary Ethel Brown, four grandchildren,Justin Smith, Ricka Bevins, Jordon Rose, Brandi May, four great grandchildren, Pyper & Trevin Bevins, Carly & Cameron May, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Johnny Vanover officiating. Burial will follow in the Belcher Cemetery at Blaze Branch.
