Flora Ray, age 100, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Flora was born on Feb. 15, 1917 to her parents the late Hatler Addington and Rosie Little Addington. She was the wife of the late Marvin Ray, a homemaker, and a member of Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Flora was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Ray, three grandchildren, Kenny, Garlen Jr., and Gina. Flora is survived by three sons, Arlen (Darlene) Ray of Flat Rock, Mi., Garlen (Lois) Ray of Ypsilanti, Mi., Charles (Shirley) Ray of Clinton, Mi., two daughters, Shirley (Orville) Nedrow of Mansfield, Ohio, Danna (Danny) Robinette of Jenkins, Ky., thirteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Addington & Johnson Cemetery at Brushy Fork.
