Kenneth Newsome

Kenneth Newsome, age 83 passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at his residence. He was born February 3, 1934, to his parents the late Elisa Newsome and Rhoda Mullins Newsome. Kenneth was a retired sheet metal worker and was of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Drew Newsome, three brothers, Delbert Newsome, Andy McCray, Hershel McCray and one sister, Sadie McDaniels. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Davis, four sons, Kevin Newsome, Kenny Newsome (Renee), Kelly Newsome, Roger Newsome, three daughters Veronica Powers (Bruce), Starr Meiser (Andy) and Bernice Haskins (Tim). He is also survived by one brother, Gobel Newsome (Peggy), three sisters, Tennessee Elswick, Arizona Keiser (Arnold) and Debbie Gorman. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Sunday, April 30, 2017, 1:00 PM, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Garrett Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Cemetery at Little Robinson.
