Jerry Goodson

Jerry Bruce Goodson, age 75, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at his home. Jerry was born on Feb. 21, 1942 to his parents the late Victor Goodson and Nellie Goodson. He was the husband of Margaret Jane Goodson and a retired coal miner for Manning Coal Corp. Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Goodson and Douglas Goodson. Along with his wife, Jerry is survived by one son, Mitchell (Norma) Goodson, one daughter, Robin Renee (Ricky) Bolden, one brother, Donald Eugene Goodson, Four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Charles Nitchie and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Cable Cemetery at Dorton.
