Rudolph Varney

Rudolph Varney Jr., age 74, passed away Monday July 3, 2017 at the Mt. View Health Care Center. Rudolph was born on July 11, 1942 to his parents the late Rodolph Varney and Thelma Hager Varney. He was the former husband of Helen Varney, a disabled coal miner, and a member of the Ajax Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Along with his parents, Rudolph was preceded in death by three brothers, England Varney, Paul William Varney, and Rufus Varney, and his foster grandmother, Louisa Hager. Along with his former wife, Rudolph is survived by one brother, Bobby (Diana) Varney, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Josh Hall and Michael Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Varney Family Cemetery.
