Richard Lee Thacker

Richard Lee Thacker, age 59, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital. Richard was born on April 21, 1958 to his parents, Geraldine Hopkins Thacker and the late Zack Thacker. He was the husband of Dena Adkins Thacker, a retired coal miner, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his father, Richard was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Thacker. Along with his wife and mother, Richard is survived by three sons, Richard Lee Thacker Jr., Zack Thacker, Jeremiah Thacker, one sister, Linda Prater, two brothers, Gary Thacker, Jerry Thacker, four grandchildren, Raelyn, Gabby, Anzlee, Alora, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Jack Adkins, Doug Kendrick and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
