Destil Standifur

Destil B. Standifur, age 65, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the U.K. Medical Center. Destil was born on Feb. 6, 1952 to her parents the late Delbert Bartley and Vertie Robinson Bartley. She was the wife of Donnie E. Standifur, a retired school teacher for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Hellier Missionary Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Destil was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Ray Bartley, and two sisters, Helema Hopkins, and Glenda Moore. Along with her husband, Destil is survived by one son, Shannon Standifur, three brothers, Estil and Ervin Bartley, Thaddeus Bartley, two sisters, Debbie Bowling, Sherry May, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, July 31, 2017 at 12 noon at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Chris Bartley, Jimmy Kerr, and Greg Whitetree officiating. Burial will follow in the Childers Cemetery at Ashcamp, Ky.
