V.H. Johnson

V.H. Johnson, age 82, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. V.H. was born on August 28, 1934 to his parents the late Sebe Johnson and Katie Martin Johnson. V.H. was the husband of Edith Roberts Johnson, owner and operator of Johnson Gulf Station, and a deacon for Long Fork Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, VH was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Coleman. Along with his wife, VH is survived by two daughters, Benita (Stanley) Tackett, Anita (Dwayne) Mullins, one son, James Lee (Donetta) Johnson, two brothers, L.D. Johnson, Gary (Linda) Johnson, one sister, Betty Ann (Clayton) Johnson, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Gary Hampton and other Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery at Sookey's Creek.
