Gene David Hunt

Gene David Hunt, age 62, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. Gene was born on December 20, 1954 to his parents Nora Francis Hunt and the late Andy Hunt, Sr. Gene David was the husband of Caroline Hunt. Gene was a retired Chief Electrician at McCoy Elkhorn Mine. He was preceded in death by his father. Along with his wife, Caroline Hunt, Gene is survived by two sons Jason (Stacy) Hunt, Jesse (Tina) Hunt and one daughter Rachael (Josh) Adams. Gene is also survived by two brothers, Andy Hunt, Jr., Jimmy Dean Hunt and two sisters, Cora Hatfield, Becky Maggard and seven grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday July 30, 2017 at 6:00PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Dave Hager and David Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Long Fork of Johns Creek.
