Maggie Adams, age 84,passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at her home. Maggie was born on February 28, 1933, in Letcher County, Kentucky, to her parents the late Levi Eldridge and Julie Caudill Eldridge. Maggie was a homemaker and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with her husband, Monroe Adams and her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Sue Shepherd, four baby sisters, and a sister Cinda Hicks, two brothers, Delzie Eldridge, Elbert Eldridge and two Son-In-Laws, Jerry Adkins and Philip Shepherd. Maggie is survived by one daughter, Kathy (Luther) Anderson, three grandchildren, Shawna (Wesley) Hensley, Jesse Adkins, Jarred (Teresa) Adkins and one Step Grandchild, Cindy (Kenny) Fields. Maggie is survived by three Great Grandchildren, Alexander Hensley, Katherine Hensley, Jerry Adkins and three Step Great Grandchildren, Kennedi Fields, Lucas Fields, and Marcus Fields. Maggie is survived by two special nephews, Marty (Gina) Hicks, Riley Hicks and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services Monday and Tuesday night at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday, August 9,2017, 11:00 AM at the Blair Branch Old Regular Baptist Church with Eddie Balcher, Eddie Street and the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Shepherd Cemetery at the Jeremiah, Kentucky.
