Mike Thompson

Mike Thompson, age 65, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Mike was born on August 17, 1952 to his parents the late Roy Harrison Thompson and Ample Griffith Thompson. He was the husband of Patty Grizzle Thompson, retired owner of Creative Lighting and Bath, and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mike was preceded in death by one sister, Bobbi Williams Slone, and three brothers, Jackie Dean, Douglas, and Roy Jr. Thompson. Along with his wife, Patty, Mike is survived by one son, Tyler (Beth) Thompson, four brothers, Harry (Neva) Thompson, Harold (Sharon) Thompson, Joe (Zuma) Thompson, Tommy (Betsy) Thompson, two grandchildren, Hallie Elizabeth Thompson, Easton Maverick Thompson, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 3p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Brian Horton officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, Va.
