Jimmie May

Jimmie D. May, age 68, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jimmie was born on April 26, 1949 to his parents the late Jim Green May and Myrtle Alice Hopson May. He was the husband of Pebble Coleman May, a retired coal miner for Teco Coal Company, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Jimmie also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War. Along with his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Dean May, one infant sister, Madonna Sue, and one granddaughter, Sady Claire May. Along with his wife, Jimmie is survived by one son, Christopher Dale(Jessica) May, three daughters, Nancy May (James) Snell, Amanda May, Yasmine Lantia May, two sisters, Diana Kilgore, Sharon (Roland) Coleman, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church at Wolfpit. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at 12 noon at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Eck Ratliff Cemetery at Wolfpit.
