Leon Ray Causey

Leon Ray Causey, age 81, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at his home. Leon was born on February 4, 1936 to his parents the late Floyd Causey and Lurley Robinson Causey. He was a retired coalminer and a member of the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Jolene Causey Justice, five sisters, Ina Mae, Marlene, Ruth Faye, Maxine and Patricia; two brothers, Willis and Brendail Causey. Leon is survived by one daughter Alice Causey Thacker (Shannon), two Step daughters, Anita Greenwalt Varney, Penny Greenwalt. Leon is survived by one brother, Les Causey (Violet), two sisters, Delores Gay Thacker, Donna Jean Enis, several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2017, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services Sunday and Monday night at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 12:00 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Causey Cemetery, Shelbiana, Ky.
