Jewel Slone

Jewel D. Slone, age 63, passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jewel was born on April 13, 1954 to his parents the late Glen Charles and Pauline Charles. She was the wife of the late E.C. Slone, a homemaker, and a member of the Grassy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Jewel was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Charles Jr. Jewel is survived by one brother, Larry Dale Charles, and three sisters, Lorraine Hunt, Kathlene Cantrell, Patty Adkins, and a special niece that was like a daughter, Nicole Adkins, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & son Funeral Home with Lester Morris and Brad Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
