Cora Johnson

Cora Johnson, age 88, of Douglas Parkway, Pikeville, Ky. passed away October 15, 2017 at her home. Cora was born on December 15, 1928 to her parents the late Candy Fields and Lydia Akers Fields. Cora was a homemaker and a member of the Mothers Home Old Regular Baptist Church. Cora with preceded in death by her husband Frank Johnson, her parents and several brothers and sisters. Cora is survived by two sons, Kenneth Johnson, Gary Johnson (Cindy), three daughters, Ruth Johnson, Vivian Moore, Geraldine Fields. Cora is survived by one brother, Clyde Fields two sisters Joann Coleman (Rush), Lois Southerd, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday night at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 11:00 AM at the Mothers Home Old Regular Baptist Church at Toler with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery on Ray Branch of Island Creek.
