Matilda Cantrell

Matilda Cantrell, age 88 of Jacksonville, Fl. (Formerly of Elkhorn City) passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at the St Vincent Community Hospice-Riverside, Jacksonville, Fl. Matilda was born on December 11, 1929 to her parents the late James H. Anderson and Sarah Elizabeth Anderson. Matilda was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Matilda was the wife of the late Conley Cantrell. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Matilda is survived by three daughters, Anita Britner (Ron),Joyce Cantrell, Connie Newton. Matilda is survived by four grandchildren, Andrea Phillips, Wendy Crawford, Blake Britner, Molly Lapa. She is survived by six great grandchildren, Anna Edwards, Ryn Philips, Tyler Cherek, Landon Dickinson, Kaydon Dickinson, Bailey Britner, one Great Great Granddaughter Kinsley Frazier and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 10:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Dale Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Arvil Mullins Cemetery, Pound, Va.
