Gene Davis

Gene Davis age 81, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Gene was born on June 22, 1936 to his parents the late Reverend W.E. Davis and Fay Dell Davis. He was the husband of Mary Louise Martin Davis, an accountant, and a member of the Trinity Harvest Church. Along with his parents, Gene was preceded in death by one son, William Butch Davis, one daughter, Ninta Louise Davis Harper, his twin brother, William Dean Davis. Along with his wife, Gene is survived by one daughter, Rita (Darrin) Compton, one brother, Donald Ray (Glenda) Davis, one sister, Doris Fay (Clyde) Hamilton, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday night at Trinity Harvest Church. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at 2:30p.m. at the Trinity Harvest Church with Richard Holmes and Shane Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
