Lois Burke

Lois Burke (Anderson), age 86, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Noreen and Greg Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was born at Burdine to the late George and Virgie (Reed) Anderson. She was a mother to the late Tony (Pooch) Burke, and a sister to the late Joyce Anderson, Jacqueline Lake, Glen Anderson, Lester Anderson, and Kiser Anderson. Survivors include one son, Timothy Burke, and one daughter, Bonnie Burke, both of Jenkins; four granddaughters, Melissa Hamilton, Misty Collier, Melynda Burke, and Tonya Boggs; four great-grandchildren, Derek Sexton, Zander Boggs, Zoey Boggs and Lea Collier; and a brother, Dexter (Deck) Anderson of Lorain, Ohio. She worked for Dr. T.M. Perry and Dr. George Davidson, and attended the Peeks Branch Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, spending time with her family, friends, and pets (special pet, Monkey). She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. There will be a private family funeral.
