Victoria Hamilton

Victoria Newsome Hamilton, age 78, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at the Signature Health Care Center. Victoria was born on April 11, 1939 to her parents the late Andrew Newsome and Annel Ray Newsome. She was the wife of the late Jay Lee Hamilton, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Victoria was preceded in death by one son in law, Milford Stevens and nineteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Sue Hamilton Stevens, two sons, Jay Lee (Penny) Hamilton Jr., Robert Eugene Hamilton, one brother, Noah Newsome, family friend, Pam Gibson, four grandchildren, Ashley, Kristy, Nichols, Zackary, three great grandchildren, Tessa, Finn, & Jaycee, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, December 31, 2017, at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jim Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Branch Cemetery at Penny Road.
