Elizabeth Nichols

Elizabeth Nichols, age 84, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Elizabeth was born on March 15, 1933 to her parents the late Taulby Thacker and Rosie Coleman Thacker. She was the wife of the late Donald Lee Nichols, a homemaker, and a believer of the Primitive Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Elizabeth is survived by three sons, Gilford (Tammy) Nichols, Preston (Kim) Nichols, Darrell Nichols, one brother, Preston Thacker, two sisters, Dovie Simmons, Goldie Cantrell, five grandchildren, Donna, Phillip, Cody, Preston Tyler, and Jennifer Elizabeth Nichols, one great grandchild, Samuel Nichols, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Primitive Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Nichols Family Cemetery at Grapevine.
