Erma Raines

It is with great sadness that the family of Erma Clevinger Raines announces her passing after a long illness on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. She was 66 years old. Erma is lovingly remembered by her children, Shawn (Crystal) Raines and Kristin Raines both of Marrowbone Creek Road., Elkhorn City, Ky. She will be forever in the hearts of her granddaughters, that were the light of her life;Alexus, Chloe, and Ella Sophia Raines. She leaves her sister, Judy Gayle Clevinger and brothers, Roger Dale Clevingerand Stevie (Trish) Clevinger. She is also survived by Lisa Looney, who was like a daughter. She was a most favorite Aunt (and auntie) to her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving sister-in-law, Brenda Bartley Clevinger. Erma was the daughter of the late Junior and LaRue Clevinger of Marrowbone Creek Rd. She had a long illness, but rarely complained. She was a protector and caregiver to her family and friends. She was very special to all who had the opportunity to know her. She was a 1969 graduate of Millard High School. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Ryan McCoy and Randy Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in the Clevinger Cemetery at Marrowbone.
