Geroid James

Geroid James, age 84, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Geroid was born on Nov. 27, 1933 to his parents the late Jessie James and Lora James. He was the husband of Carolyn Sue James, a retired coal miner, and a believer of the Pentecostal Faith. Along with his parents, Geroid was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil James. Along with his wife, Geroid is survived by one son, Gerald James, two daughters, Glenda (Steve) Harris, Carol James, one brother, Troy (Margaret) James, one sister, Vernay Justice, two grandchildren, Jarred (Jessica) Harris, Holly (Jeremy) Belcher, one great grandchild, Harper, Harris, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Clinard Ratliff and Billy Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
