Willie Lucas

Willie Lucas, age 68, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Willie was born on June 26, 1949 to his parents the late Challie Lucas and Mary Elizabeth Elkins Lucas. He was the husband of Resha Hall Lucas, a retired school teacher, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Willie was preceded in death by four sisters, Joyce Elkins, Mollie and Roxie Lucas,and Letha Lucas, two brothers, Jimmy Lucas and Johnny Lucas. Along with his wife, Willie is survived by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Elkins Lucas, Erin Mariah Smith Lucas, three brothers, Challie Jr. Lucas, Eugene Lucas, Jack Lucas, and one sister, Linda Brock, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Barry Lucas, Carson Wright, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Willie Lucas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to be made to ST. Jude Children Cancer Hospital.
