Jack Howard Thacker

Jack Howard Thacker, age 86 of Lexington, South Carolina (formerly of Pikeville) passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Jack was born on January 25, 1932 to his parents, the late Crockett Thacker and Georgia Thacker. Jack was retired from CSX Railroad. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Berniece Thacker, thirteen brothers and sisters, one daughter, Wanda Jean Hampton, and one grandchild, Rebecca Thomas. Jack is survived by two daughters, Janet Thomas Mullins (Mitch), Melinda Anne Brazell (Dearil), and by two sons, Howard Thacker (Gloria) and Dewayne Thacker (Willa). Jack’s son, Jack Thomas Thacker (Gail) passed away the following day. Jack is survived by one sister, Thelma Kinney, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday night at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Sunday, February 4, 2018, at 12 Noon with Danny Neal officiating. Entombment will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY
