Howard Raines

Howard Raines, age 68, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Howard was born on July 4, 1949 to his parents the late Charles Richard Raines and Effie Goff Raines. Howard was the husband of Faye Slone Raines, a coal miner, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Howard was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Raines and Jennifer Raines, one brother, Paul Raines, one grandson, Waylon Webb, and three sisters, Dena McCown, Margie Chaney, and Sylvia Daniels. Along with his wife, Howard is survived by one daughter, Donna (Bill) Dickess, two grandchildren, Austin Cochran, Summer Cochran, one great grandchild, Easton Burchett, one brother, Jack Raines, five sisters, Patty Hall, Rita Pugh, Judy Raines, Sue Rogers, Rhonda Hill, and a host of loving family and friends. Memorial Service For Howard will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Keith Collins officiating.
