Ray Williams

Ray Williams, age 71, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Ray was born on Dec. 13, 1946 to his parents the late Ben Franklin Williams and Virgie Newsome Williams. Ray was the husband of Betty Sue Childers Williams, a construction worker, and a member of the Island Creek Holiness Church. Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by one step daughter, Rebecca Blankenship, four brothers, Estill, Clinton, Gary, and James, and two sisters, Cora Lea Williams, Sadie Marie Williams. Along with his wife, Ray is survived by three step daughters, Helen Malzac, Emma Bentley, Christina Justice, one step son, Chris Harris, one brother, Larry D. Williams, three sisters, Velma Hayton, Kathy C. Williams, Della M. Young, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
