Jay T. Mullis

Jay T. Mullins, age 74, of Hellier, Kentucky, passed away on March 22, 2018 at the Mountain View Health Care Center. Jay was born on February 16, 1944 to his parents the late John Cavin Mullins and Delphia Rose Mullins. Jay was a disabled coalminer and a member of the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church at Alleghany. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Anna Mae Blair, one brother, Arnold Ray Mullins. Jay is survived by his wife Nancy Fields Mullins. Also survived by one son- Jay Mullins (Melodee) and two daughters-Lucy (Kenny) Simpson and Cynthia "Cindy" (Jesse) Keen. Jay is survived by one sister- Fayette Coleman, three brothers- Lowell (Janice) Mullins, Larry (Wanda) Mullins, Dewey (Lori) Mullins, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, 6:00 PM at the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church. Church Services will be held Saturday and Sunday Nights at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Monday, March 26, 2018, 2:00 PM at the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church with Tim Tackett, Kevin Damron and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Buddy Ratliff Cemetery Rt. #611 Poor Bottom.
