Virgie Ison Swindall

Virgie Ison Swindall, age 94, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Muncy and Lilly Vanover Ison. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Swindall, one daughter, Doris Robinson, one sister, Ruby Stofer, two brothers, Pokey Ison and Joe Ison. Virgie was a homemaker and a member of the Marshalls Branch Worship Center. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Bentley of Jenkins, KY, three sons, Bernard Swindall of Carlisle, OH, Jan D. Swindall of Lebanon, KY, and Larry Swindall of Franklin, KY, one sister, Beulah Meade of Pound, VA, and one brother, Curtis Ison of Jenkins, KY, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Marshalls Branch Worship Center with Danny Hurst and Allen Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Special services will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
