Dixie Williams Vick

Dixie Williams Vick, age 93, of Whitesburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at her residence. She was born June 13, 1914, the daughter of the late Howard and Sally Fugat Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilmoth Franklin Vick, by five brothers and one sister. Dixie was a retired cook at Pikeville Independent School. She was a member of Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Vick Boggs of Shelbiana, Kentucky, one brother, Carl Williams of Louisville, Kentucky, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 4, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Lester Boggs and Tommy England officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
