Thurman Wayne Helton

Thurman Wayne Helton, age 63, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Shelby Gap, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, in Ocala, FL. He was born on May 5, 1945, the son of the late Isaac and Della Helton. He is survived by one daughter, Della Merritt (David) of Ocala, FL, by one son, David Helton of Boise, ID, by four sisters, Ruby Cantrell of Dunham, KY, Stella Ballard of Bean Station, Charlotte Bryant of Shelby Gap and Louise Abernathy of Charlestown, IN, by one sister-in-law, Carol Helton of Ocala, FL, by four grandchildren, Kandi Phillips, Laci Law, Kyle Merritt and Shae Merritt, and by tow great grandchildren, Gwyneth Phillips and Brady Phillips. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church with Homer Lee Mullins and Donnie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Helton Family Cemetery. Special services will be held on Friday night at 7 p.m.
