Augusta Greer

Augusta Greer, 92 years old, of Virgie, KY, died Friday,August 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 1, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Hamlin Branham. Augusta was a homemaker and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tandy Greer, two sons, Terry Arlin and Charles Wayne Greer, four brothers, Clyde, Clayton, Cletus, and Clement Branham, three sisters, Evelyn Branham, Madilyn Fleming, and Melvina Hamilton. She is survived by one son, Ollie Calhoun of Virgie, KY, three sisters, Arizon Greer of South Carolina, Elaine Milam and Priscilla Newsome, both of Virgie, KY, three grandchildren and her special caretakers, Selena, Paulene, Rosie, and Arlena. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2008, at 6 pm at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Special services will be held Monday and Tuesday evening at 7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with the Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Potter Cemetery.
