William "Bill" Ratliff

Bill Ratliff, age 81, of Robinson Creek, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at his residence. He was born on September 5, 1926, the son of the late John L. and Virgie Ratliff. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Wallace Ratliff and by two brothers, Wayne and Otis Ratliff. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Great Lake Steel and was a member of the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Jeannie Tipton of River Rouse, MI, by a niece, Joyce Hobson of Robinson Creek, KY, by a nephew, Jerry Ratliff of Mt. Clemen, MI, by two grandchildren, Kelly Frost and Anna Tice, and by two great grandchildren, Brion Cantrell and Aubrianna Frost. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Billie Akers and Butler Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Ray Cemetery at Little Robinson Creek. Special services will be held on Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m.
