Vertreecy Keene

Vertreecy Keene, age 47, of Elkhorn Creek, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at her residence. She was born on February 12, 1961, the daughter of Rebecca and the late Evan Kidd. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Margie Kidd. Vertreecy was a homemaker and a member of the Ford's Branch Church of Christ. In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, Jimmy Keene, by one daughter, Vivian Bentley of Pikeville, KY, by one son Jimmy D. Keene of Elizabethtown, KY, by seven brothers, Teb, Roger, Ernie, Donald, Danny, Stanley, and Jerry Kidd, all of Pikeville, KY, by two sisters, Trula Kidd and Argentina Arts, both of Pikeville, KY. and by three grandchildren, Larry N. Ratliff III, Brianna P. Bentley, and Andrew Keene. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Fred Klatka and Mike Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Keene Cemetery. Special services will be held on Sunday and Monday nights at 7 p.m.
