Tommie Coleman 71, of Long Fork of Kimper, died Saturday at his residence. Tommie was born August 26, 1936 in Pike County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Roy and Daisy Thornsbury Coleman. Tommie was a disabled employee of the Kentland Elkhorn Coal Co. He was also a veteran of the US Army and Airforce. He was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. Along with his parents, Tommie was preceded in death by one brother, Teddy Coleman and one sister, Barbara Sue Coleman. Tommie is survived by his wife, Nolaine. Two sons, Tommy Jr. Cloeman of Kimper, KY, and Ronald Coleman of Paw Paw, Ky, two daughters, Patricia Coleman of Hurley, VA and Kay Abbott of Kimper, KY, four brothers, Troy Coleman of Nancy, KY, Jackson Coleman of Kimper, KY, Raymond Coleman of Oklahoma, Delmar Coleman of Chicago, IL, two sisters Opal Pembleton of Powhatan, VA, Nellie Dunhoe of Louisville, KY, one step-mother Minnie Coleman, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 PM Sunday, June 15, 2008 at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. He will be moved on Monday, June 16, to the Little Virgie Old Regular Baptist Church at Kimper with visitation beginning at 12 Noon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the church. The burial will follow in the Justice Cemetery at Kimper.
