Millard Hamilton

Millard Hamilton, age 87, of Pikeville, KY, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008, at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on June 24, 1920, the son of the late Clark and Margaret Jane Thacker Hamilton. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and 1 sister. Millard served his country as a Staff Sergeant with the elite 101st Airborn Division during World War II. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company and was a member of the Boldman Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Clyde Hamilton of Ariton, AL, and Millard Kenneth Hamilton of Ft. Worth, TX, by two daughter, Margie Hamilton Belanger of Plymouth, MI and Debbie Hamilton Ostrowski of Plymouth, MI., by one sister, Effie Mullins of Jonancy, KY, by five grandchildren, Rhonda Prater, Angela Hamilton, Clyde Hamilton, Jr., Athena Adomitis, and Eric Ostrowski, and by two great grandchildren, Laura Belanger and Christina Adomitis. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2008, after 6 p.m., at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Belmont Johnson and Carson Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Sunday and Monday evenings at 7 p.m.
