Billy Grover Mitchell

Billy Grover Mitchell, age 73, of Little Creek, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at his residence. He was born on February 26, 1935, the son of the late Grover and Mella Gibson Mitchell. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Mable Hall Mitchell, by a daughter, Neva D. Blackburn, one brother, and three sisters. He is survived by one son, Jimmy Mitchell of Tennessee, two daughters, Ann Mitchell Lay of Indian Creek and Delores Mitchell Rice of Phelps, KY, by five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2009, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Terry Bartley & others officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery at Sookeys Creek. Special services will be held on Monday night at 7 p.m.
